Airport App
Spring 2023
The objective of this project was to learn how typefaces work in the real world. After doing some research about apps, I realized the importance of a good typeface and the need for fast, easy-to-read airport information. We were given the task to create an airport app for the O'hare Airport while keeping the audience in mind.
SKETCHES
The first thing I did was sketch the app. I took inspiration from the Fifth Third App. I knew I wanted curved boxes and smooth buttons to press.
IDEATION
I started experimenting with the layout on Illustrator and Photoshop.
FINAL APP DESIGN
I had experimented with a darker visual system and it was easier to read compared to the lighter objects on a dark background. I was inspired by my Fifth Third Banking app for the layout. My goal was for the app to be easy to read and easy to navigate for the stressed airport traveler.
